JUST THE FACTS:
OUR BB30 DUB Bottom Bracket Module fits: Any frame bottom bracket shell that is 68mm wide, for use with any road DUB spindle crank.
We’ve eradicated the dreaded BB30 spindle length CREAKS once and for all by eliminating the problematic bearing-direct-in-frame set up that has always been BB30’s downfall. Bike manufacturers are not able to hold the precise tolerances necessary to fit bearings into frames properly, resulting in poor performance, short bearing life, and the noises that let you know the bearings are dying with each pedal stroke. By completely replacing this flawed set up with our 1-piece system the frame is no longer in the equation and you will at last enjoy the benefits of silence, durability, and buttery smooth power delivery that many thought impossible with a BB30-type DUB bottom bracket system. Don’t settle for good-as-new when you can have better-than-ever with a BBInfinite bottom bracket for SRAM road DUB spindle lengths.
Our BB30 DUB bottom bracket systems ship with the special press tools and retaining compounds you'll need. All you need is the press, such as a ParkTools HHP-2 or 3, or our own Master Tool Press which can be found here..
Why would I choose a 2-Piece bottom bracket system?
Our 2-Piece Bottom Bracket system is for any bike that cannot accommodate our 1-piece unit. What would cause this? Easy; any obstruction that cannot be removed which prevents our 1-piece module from passing from one side to the other in a straight line through the frame bottom bracket shell, which includes:
1) The presence of a hydraulic line that cannot be moved out of the way.
2) An immovable fixture, hump, frame feature, or cable guide.
3) Any wires that cannot be moved out of the way entirely.
Over 90% of the bikes out there can use a 1-Piece module. If you are unsure please email us with the year, make, and model of your frame, along with the crank set model and type, at email@example.com, and we’ll get you sorted.
OUR BB30 DUB 2-PIECE SYSTEM FITS: Any frame bottom bracket shell that is 68mm wide, for use with any Road DUB or 30mm spindle crank.
Our BB30 2-piece Systems ship with the special press tools and retaining compounds you'll need. All you need is the press, such as a ParkTools HHP-2 or 3, or our own Master Tool Press which can be found here..
ABOUT OUR BEARING CHOICES:
Ceramitech Bearings: Our Si3n4 hybrid ceramic bearings feature ultra-spherical silicon nitride balls matched to SAE 52100 chrome steel bearing races that have been processed with additional heat treatment and polishing steps. The result is a hybrid-ceramic bearing that lasts longer than any steel bearing with spin performance no steel bearing can rival. We’re so confident in the durability of our Ceramitech bearings that we back them with a Lifetime Bearing Exchange warranty. These bearings feature mid-contact seals for extreme performance and endurance. Each bearing comes lubricated with Kluber Isoflex Topas NB52. Lifetime Warranty.
WS2 Coated Ceramitech Bearings: We took our amazing Ceramitech bearings and added an extremely durable, tungsten disulfide (WS2) coating that has a 0.03 coefficient of friction---which means it’s slicker than Teflon, graphite, and even molybdenum disulfide. WS2 has an affinity for oils and greases, which means it maintains a hydrodynamic layer of lubricant where it’s needed most. The result is astonishing spin performance and increased endurance. These bearings feature mid-contact seals for extreme performance and durability. Each bearing comes lubricated with Kluber Isoflex Topas NB52. Lifetime Warranty.
ABEC-7 Steel Bearings: Crafted from SAE 52100 chrome steel, our BBInfinite ABEC-7 (ISO 492, Class 4) bearings are so buttery that you’d have to buy our Ceramitechs to find anything better. These bearings feature mid-contact seals for extreme performance and durability. Each bearing comes lubricated with Kluber or Koyo. 1-Year Bearing Exchange Warranty.
MORE THAN EXTREME SPEED AND SILENCE:
Our BB30 DUB bottom bracket module maintains optimal chain-lines for crisp, consistent shifting and drivetrain performance. Duel polymer bearing shields seal out dirt and debris while isolating the steel crank spindle from the steel bearing races to eliminate a major source of creaking.
Our BB30 DUB bottom bracket features an optimized design and is set to the narrowest stance the crank set allows. We’ve eradicated the dreaded BB30 spindle length CREAKS once and for all by eliminating the problematic bearing-direct-in-frame set up that has always been BB30’s downfall.
POWER METER FRIENDLY
All BBInfinite DUB bottom bracket modules are 100% compatible with all crank-based power meters.
WHY DO BBINFINITE BOTTOM BRACKETS SPIN LIKE CRAZY?:
Bicycle frame bottom bracket shells are notoriously misaligned, inconsistent, and out of round, and so it’s inadvisable to use the bike frame as the primary aligning member for bottom bracket bearings. Yet, that’s what our multi-piece bottom bracket competition does, and this explains why their systems frequently fail prematurely and creak.
A BBInfinite OPD (One-Piece-Design) bottom bracket module is a CNC precision-machined hub---like the front wheel hub on your bike---that you press into your frame. And just like your trouble-free wheel hub, BBInfinite OPD bottom brackets have perfectly aligned bearings regardless of your frame’s BB shell alignment and tolerances. Perfectly aligned bearings are essential for thousands of miles of trouble-free use and extreme spin performance.
WHAT KEEPS BBINFINITE BOTTOM BRACKETS FROM CREAKING?
BBInfinite OPD is the answer for creaking bottom bracket problems as well. Pedaling forces conspire to lever, and rock, and eventually work multi-piece systems loose. The unitized nature of BBInfinite's BB30 DUB bottom bracket cancels these forces out entirely, which means creaking has no place to start in the first place. It really is that simple.
INSTALLATION IS A SNAP WITH BBINFINITE:
Every BBInfinite module ships with the special press tools, hardware, instructions, and the retaining compound you need to get the job done correctly with ease and confidence. All you need is the press for this road bike bottom bracket. If you need a press, check out our Master Tool Press.
